Joven Dulay: Folsom’s 6’6” Sharpshooter Headed to Idaho State

Folsom High School has established itself as one of the premier programs in the Sac-Joaquin Section, and standing tall at the center of that success is 6’6” shooting guard Joven Dulay. Known as one of the best pure shooters in Northern California, Dulay has made his mark as a consistent scorer, versatile wing, and reliable leader for the Bulldogs.

Last season, Folsom captured the Sac-Joaquin Section Championship, knocking off some of the region’s toughest programs. The Bulldogs handled Inderkum 69–50 and outlasted perennial powerhouse Modesto Christian 62–52, with Dulay logging key minutes in both matchups. He capped off the season with a statement performance, dropping 30 points against national contender De La Salle, proving his ability to rise to the occasion on the biggest stage.

That momentum carried into the summer, where Dulay continued to showcase his elite shooting touch, high basketball IQ, and improved all-around game. His consistency and upside have earned him the opportunity to continue his academic and basketball career at Idaho State University, a program excited to add his scoring and length to their roster.

As Dulay prepares for his next chapter, he remains focused on the present—leading Folsom’s quest to repeat as section champions. With his experience, size, and scoring ability, Joven Dulay is poised to be one of the most impactful players in the region this season, and his journey is only just beginning.
