Getting ready for his debut
Standing at 6’6”, Reid Brear is ready to make his mark as he begins his college basketball journey with the San Francisco State Gators. A standout at Del Oro High School, Brear built his reputation as a versatile shooting guard with the size, confidence, and skill to impact the game on both ends of the floor.
At Del Oro, Brear was known for his ability to stretch the floor, knock down shots from deep, and use his length to defend multiple positions. His steady progression throughout his high school career made him one of the most reliable players in the Sacramento region, and his leadership helped solidify Del Oro as a competitive force.
Now, as he transitions to the next level, Brear brings that same work ethic and determination to San Francisco State. Year one will be about adjusting to the speed and physicality of the college game, but his size at the guard position, along with his shooting ability, gives him the tools to be an immediate contributor. For Brear, it’s more than just a new chapter—it’s the beginning of a dream realized. San Francisco State gains a player hungry to prove himself, and Northern California fans will be watching closely as the Del Oro product begins his college career.
